High-Quality Grapevine Plants

Our Grapevine Nursery

At Enric Regull, we offer a wide range of premium grapevine plants tailored to the needs of every viticulturist. We work with precision and passion to ensure optimal quality, paying special attention to the health of the plant material, traceability, and the selection process.

A unique selection process for grafted plants ensures that viticulturists see the benefits during planting and vineyard establishment. Careful selection allows us to market only those plants with a fully developed root system around the base and strong graft unions. Vines that do not meet our strict quality standards are discarded.

Grapevine plants with the highest level of quality and reliability. We carefully select each plant through a rigorous physiological sorting process, one of the most demanding in the market. This involves checking graft unions and ensuring complete rooting. We transparently control the origin of our rootstocks, guaranteeing full traceability throughout the production process.

CVP Traditional

The CVP Traditional plant comes in a 35-37 cm format, pruned to three buds. It undergoes double graft union checks, features straight and well-calibrated rootstock, and has a robust root system. High-quality green wax is applied to protect the graft and prevent dehydration.

Our comprehensive traceability system tracks the plant from the collection of varieties and rootstocks to delivery to the customer. Varietal and sanitary purity is ensured through annual controls and analyses conducted in our mother plant fields. Roots are pruned to 15-20 cm, specifically designed for machine planting.

CVP Mico

The CVP Mico plant goes through a unique production process that inoculates mycorrhizal fungi into the plant’s roots. This makes it ideal for vineyards in dry, warm climates. CVP Mico can be either CVP Traditional or CVP 80®, pruned to three buds. It undergoes double graft union checks, A sturdy, straight, and well-calibrated stake. Premium-quality green paraffin to ensure graft protection and prevent plant dehydration.

Resistance to water stress and drought

Mycorrhizal plants show superior capacity to withstand drought periods thanks to their symbiosis with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, which expand the volume of soil that the plant can explore, improving water absorption even in conditions of scarcity. This benefit is essential in vineyards located in areas with dry climates or in situations of water stress.

Improved disease resistance

Symbiosis with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) reinforces the plant’s natural defenses against root diseases, such as white rot (*Armillaria mellea*) and black foot disease (*Cylindrocarpon macrodidymum*), nematodes, as well as against biotrophic and necrotrophic pathogens.

Increased tolerance to abiotic stresses

In addition to drought, mycorrhizal plants are more resistant to difficult conditions such as soil salinity, iron chlorosis, and heavy metal toxicity, allowing them to thrive in soils unfavorable for their development.

Improved nutrient absorption and soil volume explored by roots

The extensive mycelial network developed by mycorrhizal fungi allows plants to access essential nutrients more efficiently, such as phosphorus (P), nitrogen (N), and other microelements, contributing to more vigorous and balanced plant growth.

Greater soil stability

The dense network of hyphae formed by mycorrhizal fungi improves soil structure, helping to prevent erosion and promoting the retention of essential nutrients. This not only optimizes the vineyard’s growing environment but also contributes to vineyard sustainability.

Contains no toxic residues or chemical fertilizers

Mycorrhizal plants are a perfect option for integrated and organic agriculture, as they have no toxic residues and do not depend on chemical fertilizers. This characteristic makes them a safe and sustainable option for vineyard cultivation.

CVP Termotherapy

The CVP Thermotherapy plant undergoes a certified treatment following an EPPO protocol. Plants to be treated are submerged in a tank of water at a programmed temperature of 50°C for 45 minutes. This is the most effective system for eradicating and controlling fungal diseases and pests in vine plants (bacteria, fungi, nematodes, phytoplasmas, mites, and insects). The CVP Thermotherapy plant can be either traditional CVP or CVP 80®. It is pruned to three buds, It undergoes double graft union checks, A sturdy, straight, and well-calibrated stake. Premium-quality green paraffin to ensure graft protection and prevent plant dehydration.

A comprehensive traceability system is in place, covering the process from the collection of varieties and rootstocks to the delivery of the plant to the client. Varietal and sanitary purity is ensured through annual controls and analyses conducted in our mother plant fields. Roots are cut to a length of 15–20 cm.

Reduction and Control of Fungal Diseases and Pests

Sustainable Sanitation System

No chemical products are used in the thermotherapy sanitation process.

CVP Mass Selection

Mass selection is a traditional plant improvement method where the strongest and best-adapted vines are selected from a population. These chosen vines are used for reproduction, allowing the preservation and enhancement of desirable genetic traits, adapting the plant to local conditions, and improving overall crop quality.

Adaptation to Local Conditions:

By selecting vines that have thrived in a specific environment, the plant’s ability to adapt to the region’s climatic and soil conditions is improved, resulting in greater resistance to local environmental factors.

Conservation of Genetic Diversity

Unlike other selection methods, mass selection preserves a high degree of genetic variability within the population. This helps protect the vines against diseases and future climate changes, while also maintaining the diversity of flavors and characteristics in the wine.

Gradual Improvement of Quality

Each selected generation allows for the preservation and enhancement of desirable traits (such as size, fruit quality, or disease resistance) while eliminating undesirable ones, leading to continuous improvement in crop quality.

Greater resistance to pests and diseases

By choosing plants that have already shown natural resistance to certain pests or diseases, the population as a whole is strengthened, reducing dependence on pesticides or chemical treatments.

Sustainable and economical approach

It is a low-cost technique that aligns with sustainable methods, as it uses and respects the natural resources of the environment without resorting to genetic modification or the acquisition of new commercial varieties.

CVP Pot

CVP Pot grapevines offer an optimal solution for professional plantations, providing grapevines with an already established root system within a biodegradable pot.

This system facilitates transplanting and rooting in the fields, allowing for rapid adaptation and reducing the risk of mortality, even in late plantings. Our potted grapevines are selected and treated to ensure maximum vigor and resistance in each plant.

This system has been extensively tested with varieties adapted to different climatic conditions, providing a practical alternative for winemakers looking to maximize efficiency and quality in their plantations.

Rapid Adaptation to the Soil

Thanks to the root system developed in the pot, each plant establishes its roots more efficiently, making it ideal for late spring or summer plantings.

Quality Selection

Each plant has been selected for its vigor and growth capacity, ensuring healthy production in local conditions.

Efficient and Practical Planting

The biodegradable pot allows for direct planting without transplantation, making the process easier and reducing root handling.
